Core Steel: VG10 (stain resistant steel)
Cladding: 32-layer stainless damascus (16-layers each side) with a nashiji & kurouchi finish
Handle: Octagonal burnt chestnut wood, walnut ferrule
Production: They roll forged blanks that are fully hand ground and sharpened in the Tower Knives Osaka Hamono Kobo (knife workshop).
Comments: The knives are ground close to 50/50 and sharpened to a thin edge for a smooth cutting performance for both left and right-handed users. The blades are heat treated to around 61.5 HRC and care should be taken in order not to chip the edge.
